Welcome to Travel Vacation Bliss!
My name is Kirsten Weinzierl (pronounced Curse-10 Wines-Earl) – I’m a Scorpio (born on Halloween), my favorite show is Survivor (Parvarti is my favorite) and I have an incurable addiction to traveling. I love amazing food, a good smoked Old Fashioned, mountains and the ocean. If a destination has both mountains and ocean… stick a fork in me, because I’m done!! I travel mostly with my husband and best friend (who also loves the ocean and mountains), but I also travel with my boys, my mom, our blended family and I do some solo traveling (for fun and for my corporate job).
My first vacation was a road trip to Black Hills, SD when I was about 8 years old and ever since I’ve had a craving to explore. Sadly, I didn’t get to really travel much as a kid because it was just me and my mom. Money was tight - so if we did go anywhere, it was always in a car. It wasn’t until my mid-20’s, after having my first child, that I took a plane ride to visit a friend and saw the ocean for the first time. I traveled a little bit after that, but not much - because, again, money was tight. I’ve learned so much having to travel on a tight budget, and now I travel several times a year, with at least one trip traveling to a beach destination.
I love experiencing destinations finding unique stays, cool things to do and eating local popular cuisines. I’ve really grown to have a more sophisticated pallet over the last few years and have found I really enjoy fine dining. I like to share my experiences traveling, reviewing places I visit and eating exquisite food on my social media channels and here on my site as a way to inspire others to travel more. If you’d like to work together you can find more information –> here.
Even though I’ve traveled extensively, I still have a lot of destinations I haven’t been to yet. I’ve mostly traveled in the US, the Caribbean and Mexico. I want to continue showing people how amazing travel can be and inspiring them from a passionate perspective to travel themselves. While my bucket list is extensive, I continue to add to it all the time (I blame social media - lol).
If we happen to cross paths, please say hello! I love meeting and connecting with people from all walks of life. - Kirsten
